Hi, I'm an illustrator and student living in Providence, RI.
Welcome to my art blog! It shows my sketches and works in progress as well as some finished pieces and classwork.

Another of my final pieces for watercolor and gouache class! This one was really fun to do- I am a total nut for fabric patterning. View high resolution

more soon!

Here’s a piece from my final project series from my watercolor and gouache class! I’ve been having a lot of fun with this one- I’m not sure it’s really done but it’s close. View high resolution

Finished pizza comic!

The pizza zine features a bunch of other awesome artists that I’m lucky enough to know and go to school with so they were like yeah I guess you can put something in. It’ll be out… SOMETIME SOON!

This was really fun to do- I made it pretty quick so there’s a lot of drawing problems, but, uh, whatever. Still fun.

Don’t you just hate when this happens?

(So a lot of the time when artists make autobiographical or self referential moody art it seems to me like vomiting up their problems to the world unnecessarily. But, sometimes we can’t help it. Sorry!) View high resolution

Quick update because I haven’t posted anything in a while-
This is a preview of my little comic for a zine that a few friends and I are making! Who is this depressingly normal young man? Why would someone leave him pizza at his door? Stay tuned to find out!! View high resolution

Quick moebius tribute for this project! It’s #87 “The Paternum’s Sanctum”. I might go back into this in photoshop and make a few color tweaks but for now it’s done. Pen and watercolor/gouache.
I’ve been looking at a lot of moebius art lately, and as always it’s simultaneously depressing and inspiring- which is usually the case when geniuses make art. So sad that he’s gone. View high resolution

This started out as a homework assignment for my watercolor and gouache class, but I ended up refining it a lot after the critique.
I’ve been trying to add more patterning and textures to my work- I got out some books from the library on different patterns, and they’re really interesting and gorgeous. Definitely something I want to explore more! View high resolution

finally finally finally finished this!
I’ve been working on it on and off for over a month… waaay too long. It was fun though! All done in photoshop besides the first pencil sketch. View high resolution

Yikes it’s been forever since I’ve posted anything! Things are good, in a busy way. Here are some sketch pages that I threw up on my carbonmade a few weeks ago.

Molly and I had our show opening! It was really fun, and everyone has been so nice about our work. I’m so incredibly happy that the trip and the show actually worked out… going to Argentina was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had.

Anyways, there will be more art up soon. Also, I’ve been mulling over starting a weekly webcomic. We’ll see. I really want it to happen but I don’t have any story ideas I’m super excited about- it may just end up being mostly biographical… I’ve been reading a lot of Kochalka lately.
