Forest things, gouache and colored pencil on watercolor paper.
Character designs for class - these were really fun!
These are supposed to represent a best and worst personal trait… points if you can guess what mine are.
Edit: Yes! Alicia wins! Good trait is balanced, bad trait is reclusive.
THIS WAS SO FUN.
So me and the awesome stupidly talented M.R. TROWER made this cityscape full of weird things happening by passing a photoshop file back and forth.
Bonus points: it’s a half-drop repeat pattern meaning you can have an infinitely large cityscape full of strange things like worm people!
Finished the inks for my comic! Next up- watercolors. I’m really excited for this part, I’ve been looking forward to it the whole time.
some quick colors added to this layout drawing… might actually play around with some other variations and times of day later on.
More comic panels… part of me still can’t comprehend that one day, this will be a finished thing.
Background layout drawing for practice… I’ll probably end up coloring this one eventually.
So I’m experimenting with adding color to graphite drawings… it’s tripping me up a little bit but I think it’s something I’ll play with more. This is the colored version of this.
Okay so I’m finally posting a few panels from the comic I’ve been working on since fall… it’s a 40 page monstrosity that will eventually all be watercolored. I’m still in the inking stage but I can’t wait to get some paint on it. The other two people working with me on longer comics projects are REALLY INCREDIBLE and keep me going even though I have a bad habit of getting burnt out on long term work.
Anyways. More to come.
